May 6--China Electronics Corporation (CEC) recently put the 45% stake that it holds in China Digital Cable TV Co., Ltd. on sale on the Beijing Equity Exchange with the reference price at RMB450M, same as CEC’s initial investment. Sources at CEC’s Assets Management Department announced yesterday that the said transaction was approved by the company’s board of directors on the principle of its strategic restructuring. CEC decided to withdraw from China Digital Cable TV as the cable TV network business is not relevant to its main business.
