(June 27)--Beijing Telecom announced on June 23rd that it will be incorporated into China Telecom’s Hong Kong-listed company China Telecom Corp. Ltd. and on the same day published its 2007 financial report for the first time. The report shows that Beijing Telecom generated RMB2.455bn in business income in 2007 and RMB470M in net profits. On June 1st, China Telecom Corp. announced that its extraordinary shareholders meeting voted and approved the proposal to acquire Beijing Telecom, which will be injected in the Hong Kong company.
