(July 1)--Through five years of pilot test and more than three years of scale development, the No.2 natural gas treatment plant invested by PetroChina Changqing Oil Field Company in Sulige Gas Field, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, was put into trial operation recently. This is currently the largest domestic natural gas treatment plant.

In order to relieve the energy shortage, and provide “quality-assured gas” of Sugeli Gas Field to millions of households, Changqing Oil Field Company, based on the completion of the No.1 natural gas treatment plant, made another investment of 307 million yuan to design and construct the No.2 natural gas treatment plant with an annual handling capacity of 5 billion cubic meters.

According to technicians of the No.2 natural gas treatment plant of Changqing Oil Field Company, major equipment of the plant has entered trial operation starting from June 24. After formal commissioning, natural gas will be directly transferred to Beijing through Shaanxi-Beijing Line 2, providing safe, high-quality and adequate gas for Beijing citizens.

During the construction of the No.2 natural gas treatment plant of Sugeli Gas Field, Changqing Oil Field Company has shortened construction cycle, reduced cost and improved quality by creatively implementing the principle of “standardized design and modular construction”. In addition, production decision is carried out through "digital production management system" to realize digitization, informatization and intelligentization in gas field management.
