(July 2)--Tianjin Municipality now exports nearly 4,000t of ‘green’ vegetables every year to more than ten countries, including Japan, Canada and Russia, according to the latest information from the District. The District has 18,666.67ha (280,000mu) in vegetable planting area, produces 1.3mt of vegetables and generates RMB900M in sales income every year. More specifically, the ‘green’ vegetable planting area covers 14,666.67ha (220,000mu) and the ‘green’ food raw material base covers 6,666.67ha (100,000mu).
