(July 2)--China State Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. recently announced that ship maintenance, one of the company’s main business lines, developed rapidly in the first five months of 2008. Although the company’s major ship maintenance enterprise CSSC Chengxi Shipyard Co., Ltd. did not invest in establishing any plants, it generated more than RMB1bn in output value, rising by 34.05% year-on-year. CSSC Chengxi Shipyard’s monthly ship maintenance value has exceeded RMB200M for three consecutive months since March, further consolidating its leading position in the industry.
