BEIJING, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) said it supports Russia's anti-terrorism strive in a statement issued on Wednesday.
SCO member states support Russian authority's actions taken to prevent terrorist activities
and safeguard national
security and stability, the regional organization said when comment on the Monday bomb attack in Nazran, capital of south Russia's republic of Ingushetia.
"We hereby express our sincere condolences to the relatives of the victims," said SCO Secretary-General Bolat Nurgaliyev in the statement.
A bomber detonated a
truck packed with explosives at the gate of the local police headquarters in Nazran, killing at least 20 people
and wounding 138 others.
The SCO groups China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan
and Uzbekistan.
